Electric Vehicles are on the tip of everyone's tongue, but progress has been slow in Australia, with a combination of limited models, high costs, lack of infrastructure and unsupportive regulatory environment driving down consumer interest. As of 2023, take up of Electric Vehicles in Australia is on the rise, but we will still need to overcome a range of barriers around vehicle availability and affordability. In this session, Amelia shared insights from the Fifth Quadrant Consumer Automotive Program, revealing the current state of consumer electric vehicle sentiment, expectations and sensitivities around pricing, and other key barriers that still need to be overcome.
