This fifth edition of the Fifth Quadrant Corporate Fleet Insights report builds on the foundational insights from 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024, providing a comprehensive view of the current fleet landscape. Across previous reports, we tracked the fleet sector's response to disruption, recovery, and renewal. This year's report reveals a market defined by the widening gap between fleet ambition and fleet reality.

Corporate fleets enter 2026 with clear intent but uneven execution. Hybrid ownership has surged from 41% to 56% in just two years, yet pure EV penetration has barely moved, and half of all fleets plan no EV acquisitions in the year ahead. Reducing running costs and improving service delivery have emerged as the joint top priorities, while technology adoption is near-universal for tracking and reporting but far less mature in areas such as predictive maintenance and EV charging management. The report also examines significant shifts in the fleet services market, including a strong recovery in FMO trust, rapid change in acquisition and disposal channels, and the resurgence of major banks in fleet finance.

Drawing on a robust survey of Australian corporate fleet operators, weighted to be representative by fleet size, location, and industry, this report maps the needs, attitudes, and behaviours of the corporate fleet market across eight chapters: fleet profile, management priorities, electrification, technology adoption, safety, fleet management services, vehicle acquisition and disposal, and fleet finance and insurance. It is designed to help service providers tailor their offerings to meet the evolving demands of the Australian corporate fleet market.
